What is GFRP rebar?+
Glass Fibre Reinforced Polymer rebar is a composite reinforcement made from continuous glass fibres held in a polymer resin matrix.
Does GFRP rebar rust?+
No. It contains no steel and is selected specifically for resistance to electrochemical corrosion.
Can GFRP directly replace steel?+
Not by a simple one-to-one swap. Its elastic behaviour and material properties require project-specific structural design.
Is it easier to transport?+
Its low density can reduce lifting and transport effort, subject to bundle sizes, route and site conditions.
Can bars be bent on site?+
GFRP bars should not be heat-bent on site. Required shapes should be coordinated before manufacture.
